About

PORTOS

Modular Robotic Drone System

Our new in-house modular system that brings entirely new possibilities in the field of drones and robotic systems – the basis of the entire system is a robust carbon composite tube that houses all the key electronics. This tube protects sensitive components, such as the autopilot with mini-computer for computational tasks, the battery and the radio link, from the harsh effects of weather, water or dust. The design of the tube also allows additional modules to be placed on its surface, significantly expanding the functionality of the entire system.

Robust carbon composite tube

The arms (another modular part) are attached to the ends of the tube, to which the motors are subsequently attached, thus creating a multicopter. However, thanks to the modular design, the drone can be easily transformed into other types of drones/robots: by attaching wheels, a land rover is created, by adding floats, a catamaran, and by VTOL plane, a fixed wing aircraft. The basic module thus serves as a universal building block for almost any drone or robot.

From Multicopter to Anything

  • Multifunctionality – can be converted to different uses according to current needs.
  • Easy upgrades and repairs – quick module replacement without the need for complex service interventions.
  • Flexibility of deployment – for example, for a multicopter, engines can be selected for long flight times or, conversely, for high payload capacity.
  • Robustness and protection – electronics protected in the tube resist external influences.
  • Easy to transport

The whole structure is very lightweight thanks to the use of carbon composites, which allows high performance at low weight.

The technology and the modular system allow for the construction of drones or robots in a wide range of sizes, from approximately 2 kg to 20 kg or more, depending on the specific need and configuration.

Real-world solution

PORTOS H410

In the images above you can see the configuration of the PORTOS H410 quadcopter weighing 5 kg with a 5 kg on-board battery and a payload capacity of up to 10 kg. This model with a 500g payload achieves a flight time of about 1 hour, a top speed of 100km per hour; when equipped with motors for long flight, the endurance can be significantly higher, as well as the motors can be swapped to achieve a higher top speed, etc..

The front and rear of the tube provide space for additional modules such as camera systems, sensors or lights, allowing easy customisation for a wide range of applications. In addition, the PORTOS H410 is equipped with foldable arms for easy transport, and the entire system is so compact thanks to the disassembly into individual modules that it can be conveniently carried, for example, in a backpack.

PORTOS H410 is the ideal solution for customers requiring a highly versatile yet reliable modular drone with the ability to quickly adapt to a variety of tasks or environments.
